This readme file gives information on the content and format of the files containing the CPP SAR data provided as validation products in the frame of the CP4O project. The files are in netcdf format. The new format is available in the excel file CPP_product_format.xlsx. Latest changes are written in red: - The AGC commands are now applied to the PLRM and doppler echoes. So, when estimating Pu on those echoes, this value will take into account the AGC value. This has required to change the units for the echoes storage. - We have added a sigma0 estimation for PLRM and SARM. It's only a relative value (not an absolute sigma0). This value is computing with the following formula: sigma0 = 30*alog10(orb_alt) + 10*alog10(orb_alt+ earth_radius) + 62 + 10*alog10(pu) We have applied a bias to align the estimation on the Jason-2 sigma0. bias for PLRM = -285.7 dB bias for SARM = -280,7dB - We have add a MQE parametor.
