This page gives information about projects undertaken by SatOC and by the SatOC team in the past. In addition, several past project reports are available for download on our project reports page. GlobWaveAn ESA funded project that aims to improve the accessibility and uptake of satellite-derived wave data. Project leaders are Logica. SatOC are responsible for altimeter data processing, quality control, error analysis, statistics and supporting documentation. For more information visit the GlobWave portal . We are also hosting a demonstration of satellite wave statistics developed by David Carter while at Satellite Observing Systems - visit the WAVSAT Medians Data Finder. SAMOSASAMOSA is an ESA-funded project to study ocean and inland water applications of Synthetic Aperture Mode Radar Altimetry - in particular with respect to CRYOSAT-2 data. SatOC are the project leaders. For more information visit the SAMOSA project pages. MarCoastAn ESA funded project under the GMES Service Element Programme, providing operational oil spill and water quality monitoring services across Europe. Project leaders are Thales. SatOC are supporting the user federation services - bringing in new users and supporting users in providing feedback and guidance through the User Executive Board. For more information visit the MarCoast project pages. BioshoreAn ESA funded project under their sustainable development programme investigating the use of EO techniques for water quality reporting in the offshore industry. Project leaders are Flyby s.r.l.. SatOC are supplying wind, wave and currents information and have a role in promotion and training. SDDSDD, short for Semantics Driven Framework for Resource and Knoweldge Discovery, is an ESA funded project aiming to harmonise the descriptive terminology of EO-related products and services. Project leaders are GTD (Spain). Also contact us for information about previous projects carried out under Satellite Observing Systems (SOS), including:
